Responsibility & Regulation: Private wells do not have state or federal monitoring requirements; safety is entirely the owner’s responsibility.
Water Testing: Recommend testing for coliform bacteria, nitrates, and arsenic at least every 6-12 months, and immediately after heavy rains or flooding.
